Position Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Part-Time, around 20-22 hours per week)
Location: Evanston, IL
School Year: 2026–2027


About the Role: 
We are seeking a Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This part-time position (approximately 20–22 hours per week) offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with visual impairments in achieving academic success and independence.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to promote inclusive practices.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with state and district requirements.
Qualifications:


  • Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to fostering student independence and achievement.
