Job Title: Manufacturing Associate - 2nd Shift Group
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Associate in the VLS Vertical Launch System department performs a range of mechanical and labor functions in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:
• Setting up and operating various manufacturing equipment, such as drills, sanders, and hand power tools, along with test equipment. • Setting up and running various manufacturing equipment, including drills, sanders, hand power tools, and test equipment. • Working with paints, adhesives, solvents, and primers. • Performing visual quality inspections of parts. • Following written work instructions and standard operating procedures. • Working to a daily schedule to meet and exceed output targets. • Completing all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time. • Communicating well between departments to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues. • Performing preventative maintenance on all machines. • Using appropriate PPE for designated areas.
Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required. • GED or High School Diploma required. • 2 years of manufacturing experience required. • Ability to work independently and within a team. • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills, such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and use of Microsoft Office. • Personal soft skills, including effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. • Able to work 2nd shift, 21:45 PM - 10:45 AM.
