VMC Machinist – 3/4-Axis CNC Milling

What you'll do

• Operate 3–4 axis VMCs to rough mill the minor axis of tips and clear excess material around the cup.
• Inspect setups and programs; use calipers to confirm cup width and stock OD before cutting.
• Load workpieces, align the longer side of the cup with a Machinist Square, close the door, and run parts safely.
• Clean completed parts to remove coolant and debris.
• Measure with dial calipers and verify length/width of the cup against the work order.
• Produce an initial part and secure First Piece Inspection sign-off prior to production.
• Shift between machines in the cell based on workload.

Do you have the right toolkit?

• Age 18 or older.
• Mechanical/technical savvy and hands-on experience.
• Comfort reading blueprints and routings.
• Proficiency with GD&T, CNC tooling, G-Code, and CNC setup/changeover.

Machines you'll run

VMCs (3–4 axis) including Mazak, Okuma, DMG Mori Seiki, Fanuc, and Haas.
