We’re a high-activity production shop in Glendale, CA focused on micro abrasive sandblasting equipment and services. We’re looking for a VMC Programming Specialist who can program, set up, operate, and verify CNC-milled parts with speed and precision.

Starting pay: $30 per hour
What will I be doing?
Programming CNC milling operations in G-code and via CAM; editing and optimizing code.
Setting up VMCs: workholding selection, tooling, speeds/feeds, offsets, and machine parameters.
Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to meet spec.
Running first-article inspections, then in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
Making on-the-fly program/offset tweaks to protect dimensions and quality.
Troubleshooting machining, tooling, programming, and setup challenges.
Improving cycle times, extending tool life, and driving efficiency.
Documenting production and inspection data accurately.
Performing routine machine maintenance and maintaining a tidy cell.
Following safety/quality procedures and partnering with engineering and production to resolve issues and enhance processes.
What skills help me succeed?
Experience as a CNC Mill Machinist and/or CNC Programmer.
Strong understanding of CNC milling processes and machining fundamentals.
Comfort with prints and GD&T.
G-code fluency and CNC program editing.
CAM programming strongly preferred.
Independent CNC mill setup/operation capability.
Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, speeds/feeds, and best practices.
Proficiency with precision metrology (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges).
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting strengths.
Detail orientation and a commitment to high-quality output.
Ability to work solo and as part of a production team.
