As a VMC setup specialist, you’ll be the catalyst for quality and throughput, orchestrating tooling, fixtures, and programs while proving out first articles and keeping production stable across multiple machines.
Impact you’ll make
Configure and operate CNC vertical milling centers to meet exacting requirements
Choose/install tooling and workholding; upload and verify the correct program
Translate blueprints into actionable setups and machining strategies
Own first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related instruments
Dial in offsets, perform minor troubleshooting, and stabilize processes
Balance throughput across up to two machines and complete 1–5 setups per day based on the job mix
Contribute within a fast-moving, collaborative culture

Demonstrated CNC setup experience on vertical milling centers
Fluent blueprint interpretation
Hands-on quality inspection using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Experience running Fanuc-controlled equipment
