Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 12 states.
 
We are continuing to strengthen our leadership team with the addition of an Regional Director who will oversee operations across Armstrong, Butler, and Indiana, Pennsylvania supporting 25 homes. This is a key senior leadership position with a starting salary up to $150,000, focused on building strong teams and advancing person-centered services.
 
Responsibilities 
  • Supervises Executive Directors and ensures that they are completing their essential functions
  • Assist Executive Directors in developing and maintaining an effective Community Options Business Advisory Council (COBAC)
  • Oversee compliance with state and corporate regulations
  • Assists and oversees new development of residential homes, Community Participation Support, Supported Employment, and other qualified services
  • Represent COI at local speaking opportunities for a variety of purposes including staff recruitment, COBAC recruitment, new development, public relations, community education and more
  • Acts as the Executive Director in the absence of an Executive Director in the region they oversee
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing proper execution of budgets
  • Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Three to five years of relevant experience working in the ID field
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to partner across internal/external stakeholders, government officials, and industry associations
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confident with public speaking at events, conferences, and on social media platforms
  • Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to present facts and recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to patiently impart knowledge to others.
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public, demonstrating sensitivity to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the Company's public image.
