Job Title - VMWare Engineer
Experience - 10+ years
Location - Framingham, MA
Hire Type - Fulltime (Onsite)
- Administer, maintain, monitor, and support enterprise VMware environments including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
- Design, install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot VMware infrastructure across production, DR, and test environments.
- Manage VMware clusters, host deployments, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and hardware refresh activities.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving VMs, storage, networking, HA, DRS, vMotion, and vSAN.
- Perform VMware patching, upgrades, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage backup, recovery, replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor performance, utilization, capacity, and system health; implement proactive improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and develop preventive solutions.
- Support infrastructure modernization, workload migrations, and cloud integration initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Storage, Backup, Network, Security, Server, and Application teams.
- Participate in on-call support, maintenance activities, major incident resolution, and DR testing.
