VMware Tanzu & Kubernetes Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced VMware Tanzu & Kubernetes Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise container platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes, containerization, automation, and cloud technologies, along with strong troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes environments.
• Deploy, scale, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
• Containerize applications and support their deployment into Kubernetes platforms.
• Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tanzu, Kubernetes, and virtualization platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure using PowerShell, Python, YAML, and Ansible.
• Manage deployments using Helm Charts and Flux, and monitor environments with Datadog.
• Support networking components including NSX, AVI Load Balancers, and Palo Alto/ASA Firewalls.
• Participate in capacity planning, system maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
• Participate in a 24x7 support rotation when required.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and Kubernetes administration.
• Experience with vRealize Automation (vRA) Pipelines, NSX, and AVI Load Balancer.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, YAML, and Ansible.
• Experience with Helm Charts, Flux, and Datadog Monitoring.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and infrastructure management.
• Experience with Palo Alto/ASA Firewalls, NAT, security policies, and firmware upgrades.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, application architecture, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes certifications are highly preferred.
• Experience working in enterprise production environments.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to provide support in a 24x7 operational environment.
