VMware Virtual Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Virtual Infrastructure Specialist to support, administer, and optimize enterprise infrastructure platforms. In this role, you will help ensure high availability, support disaster recovery capabilities, automate operational processes, and contribute to hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain VMware infrastructure components, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Suite, HCX, and related management platforms.

  • Support and maintain disaster recovery solutions and processes, including replication and recovery technologies.

  • Manage and support cloud-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation pipelines and infrastructure workflows.

  • Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to improve scalability and operational efficiency.

  • Perform system upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and problems in accordance with service level objectives.

  • Implement and maintain security controls and participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations as required.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and resilient infrastructure services.
Required Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise virtual infrastructure environments, with strong expertise in VMware technologies.

  • At least 3 years of experience with cloud infrastructure platforms and automation tools.

  • Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) technologies.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent technologies.

  • Proven ability to support large-scale, mission-critical, 24/7 production environments.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications related to virtualization, cloud platforms, IT service management, enterprise architecture, or Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and infrastructure automation best practices.

  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD processes.
