OverviewCompany is seeking an experienced
VMware Virtualization Architect to support a growing portfolio of customer projects and internal initiatives. This role focuses on
architecture and hands-on delivery across the modern VMware ecosystem, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, Aria Operations, Aria Automation, Tanzu/Kubernetes, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
The ideal candidate can lead solution design, provide technical oversight, and implement enterprise virtualization solutions while working directly with customers in a fast-paced consulting/services environment.
Key Responsibilities• Design, deploy, and support VMware vSphere and vSAN environments across multiple customer environments.
• Implement and manage NSX-T, including routing, distributed firewall, and micro-segmentation.
• Use Aria Operations (vRealize Operations) for performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Support or build workflows, blueprints, and self-service catalogs within Aria Automation (vRA).
• Deploy and maintain Tanzu/Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades and day-2 operations.
• Manage and maintain VCF environments using SDDC Manager, including workload domains and lifecycle operations.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, network, and virtualization layers.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and customer stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Create documentation for designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in after-hours or on-call work for critical changes or escalations as needed.
Required Qualifications• 3–7+ years of hands-on VMware engineering experience (vSphere, vSAN).
• Practical experience with NSX-T (routing, micro-segmentation, troubleshooting).
• Experience with Aria Operations (vROps) for monitoring and analytics.
• Exposure to or experience with Aria Automation (vRA) for workflow/blueprint development.
• Working knowledge of Tanzu/Kubernetes (cluster deployment, upgrades, operations).
• Experience with VCF or strong willingness to ramp quickly into VCF deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across virtualization, networking, and storage.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications• VMware certifications: VCP-DCV, VCAP, NSX, VCF Specialist, etc.
• Experience working for a consulting firm, MSP, or systems integrator.
• Scripting/automation experience (PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python).
• Experience integrating VMware platforms with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
