The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational Vocational Instructor (Voc. A/B) to work in the DDS Mansfield Redemption Center providing guidance to individuals with intellectual disabilities maximizing each person's potential. The ideal candidate supports and implements department directives, displays a positive attitude and motivates others to work as a team.

Full-time: 40 hour weekly position.
1st vacancy: Tuesday - Saturday - 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Days off: Sunday and Monday
2nd vacancy: Monday-Friday - 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Days off: Saturday and Sunday

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: At least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience working with individuals with mental retardation, developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or blindness; in vocational or industrial training; or in vocational or industrial instruction.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
LICENSES: Based on assignment, travel may be required. Those employees who elect to use a motor vehicle for travel must have a current and valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator''s license or the equivalent from another state.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division's Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
