A New York City-based behavioral health network is seeking a new Vocational Specialist for a promising opportunity with their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Queens.
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9am to 5pm (Includes two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break)
Setting: Hybrid (3-4 days fieldwork, 1-2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
Conducting vocational assessments and developing individualized job training plans
Assisting clients in job search strategies and securing employment
Providing vocational training and leading workshops
Building relationships with local employers
Serving as a liaison between clients and vocational or educational settings
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, and/or Vocational Rehabilitation
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically AccuMED
Solid assessment and documentation skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Cultural competence in serving diverse populations
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a relevant field
Certification in Vocational Rehabilitation
Experience in Vocational Counseling or related areas
