The Vocational Coordinator / Employment Specialist / Clubhouse Work Unit Supervisor supervises daily Clubhouse work units and assists with or leads group activities while providing comprehensive vocational rehabilitation and supported employment services for individuals with disabilities resulting from acquired brain injury.
This position is responsible for employment planning, vocational assessment, job development, placement, job coaching, employer engagement, follow-up services, and ongoing coordination with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation or other funding agencies. The individual will facilitate meaningful employment opportunities that promote independence, community integration, and quality of life for Clubhouse members.
In addition, this role supports daily Clubhouse operations and provides coverage in the absence of other Clubhouse staff.
Responsibilities:
Maintains confidentiality of member/client information.
Adheres to policies and procedures regarding member rights.
Maintains a clean, safe, and supportive environment; identifies and reports hazards.
Completes all mandatory education and training requirements.
Adheres to universal precautions and infection control procedures.
Complies with organizational policies regarding attendance, conduct, grooming, and dress code.
Promotes a positive image of the organization to members, families, referral sources, community partners, and the public.
Participates in quality improvement and performance improvement activities.

Supervises daily Clubhouse work units and member participation.
Provides comprehensive vocational rehabilitation and supported employment services, including:
Vocational assessments
Career exploration and planning
Job development and placement
Job coaching and training
Follow-up and retention services
Coordinates services with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and other funding sources.
Maintains communication with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, employers, and community partners.
Generates required reports, documentation, billing records, and audit-related materials.
Develops and maintains positive employer relationships and facilitates appropriate workplace accommodations as needed.
Assists members in developing vocational, social, and independent living skills.
Participates in regular meetings with members and staff.
Assists with group activities, community outings, and Clubhouse programming.
Provides supervision and mentorship to volunteers, interns, and students.
Assists with orientation and training of new staff, volunteers, and members.
Serves as a resource and support person to staff, peers, students, and community partners.
Provides operational coverage in the absence of the Clubhouse Manager.
Assists in the development and implementation of new programs and services.
Assists with departmental policies, procedures, and operational planning.
Provides input regarding staffing, equipment, supply, and space needs.
Maintains required continuing education and professional certifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
