Vocational Support SpecialistFull-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM$18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience401(k) | Health, Dental & Vision BenefitsMake a Difference Through Meaningful WorkMedical Alternatives, Inc. is looking for a dependable and creative Vocational Support Specialist to work with individuals with traumatic brain injuries in a structured vocational and therapeutic environment.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, teaching practical skills, and finding ways to make activities meaningful and engaging. You'll help individuals participate in productive work, develop skills, and take on responsibilities that match their abilities, interests, and goals.Candidates with interests or experience in art, music, technology, crafts, or hands-on projects are especially encouraged to apply.What You'll DoGuide individuals through daily vocational and therapeutic activitiesTeach and demonstrate tasks based on each person's abilities and interestsProvide encouragement, structure, and supervision throughout the workdayAssign appropriate responsibilities and help individuals successfully complete themAdapt activities and instruction to accommodate different skill levelsProvide direct support with personal and daily living needs when requiredAssist with warehouse-related activities in varying temperatures and environmentsEncourage participation, independence, and development of practical skillsHelp maintain a positive, respectful, and productive workplaceWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Patient and understandingDependable and energeticComfortable working one-on-one with individuals who have disabilitiesCreative and willing to develop engaging activitiesAble to communicate clearly and provide hands-on instructionComfortable taking initiative while working as part of a teamQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of experience in human services or a related fieldHelpful Experience:Teaching or tutoringVocational trainingDirect-care or human-services workArt, music, technology, crafts, or hands-on projectsPhysical RequirementsThis role involves active, hands-on work.
