Job Position: Voice & Data Technician
Location: San Antonio, TX 78249
Pay Rate:$19 $22 per hour
TradeSTAR is hiring Voice & Data Technicians for commercial structured cabling projects throughout the San Antonio area. We're looking for dependable technicians with foundational experience in structured cabling who are eager to build their skills and grow within the low-voltage industry.
Responsibilities
Pull, route, and support Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
Assist with terminating copper and fiber cabling.
Install J-hooks, cable tray, ladder rack, conduit, and other cable pathway systems.
Mount and dress racks, patch panels, cabinets, and cable management.
Label and organize cabling according to project specifications.
Read basic blueprints and low-voltage drawings.
Assist with cable testing and troubleshooting.
Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites while following safety standards.
Qualifications
6 months to 2 years of commercial structured cabling experience preferred.
Experience pulling, routing, and dressing Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A cable.
Basic understanding of structured cabling installation practices.
Familiarity with cable terminations is a plus.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to work from ladders and lifts.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required.
