We are seeking a talented VoIP Engineer to enhance our enterprise-wide voice infrastructure. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our voice and UC systems, ensuring high-quality, reliable communication services across our organization.


Key Responsibilities:



* Voice System Administration & Support: Manage day-to-day operations of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connections, IMP, and associated collaboration tools including Cisco Telepresence, Webex, Jabber, and more. Ensure system stability, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot complex issues.


* Incident & Troubleshooting Leadership: Serve as an escalation point for critical voice network incidents, swiftly diagnosing problems related to voice routing, call quality, and system failures. Provide excellent customer support and resolve issues efficiently to maintain service continuity.


* Project Participation & Implementation: Collaborate with engineering and project teams on small to medium-sized projects-plan, assess, test, and execute voice integrations, upgrades, or configurations aligned with organizational needs.


* Telecommunications Hardware Support: Respond to repair requests for enterprise voice hardware and local client devices. Coordinate and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime.


* Change & Configuration Management: Follow established change management processes; update documentation including SOPs, topology diagrams, call routing policies, dial plans, and system configurations to ensure accurate record-keeping.


* Emergency Response & Technical Recovery: Provide critical support during voice network emergencies, ensuring quick recovery and minimal service disruption.


* Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides to facilitate training, knowledge sharing, and future troubleshooting needs.


Qualifications & Skills:



* Education & Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent experience, with 1-3 years supporting Voice Operations or Voice Engineering in an IT environment.


* Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Cisco voice systems (CUCM, Unity, IMP, CUBE, SRST, Webex, Jabber). Basic understanding of LAN/WAN circuits, structured cabling, PRI, SIP, MPLS, FXO, FXS, and POTS.


* Networking & Protocols: Familiarity with VLANs, switchport configuration, QoS, and protocols including SIP, MGCP, H.323, SCCP.


* Certifications (Preferred): Cisco voice certifications are advantageous.


* Additional Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, adept at interpreting technical instructions, and capable of maintaining effective teamwork. Must be able to prioritize tasks and respond swiftly during emergencies.


* Licensing: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record


Publishing Pay Range: $45.62 - $47.98 USD Hourly
