Volunteer Captain

At Best Christmas Ever, we believe the greatest gift is giving. That's why we're on a mission to transform lives through generosity during the Christmas season. Through a nomination process, we create an unforgettable Christmas for families who have fallen on hard times, through no fault of their own. Our goal is straightforward: to help them transition from feeling helpless to hopeful. As a Volunteer Captain, you will lead the process to create this lasting Christmas experience! 

YOUR IMPACT

• PROVIDE AN UNFORGETTABLE CHRISTMAS: Through networking and fundraising efforts, ensure a “Best Christmas Ever” is provided to a family going through a rough time. Craft a Christmas reveal to surprise the family to present this Christmas experience by coordinating the fundraising of $5,000 for the family and coordinating the gift management of 3-10 gifts per family member.  
• CREATE PARTNERSHIPS: Our Christmas experience is not created by an individual, but a community created through creative networking, media partnerships, and relationships. As a Volunteer Captain, you will develop excitement for our purpose, mission, and values by sharing our mission and purpose with clubs, community associations, places of worship, and other groups. 
• FINAL DETAILS: Ensure we remain in compliance by submitting all paperwork on time. 

YOUR SKILLS 

• KNOWLEDGE: Prior experience in a volunteer fundraising role is highly preferred. 
• SKILLS: A commitment to integrity in all you do. A values-driven approach and passion for giving back. Strong organizational skills with a proactive, self-starting mindset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• ABILITY: This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity starting immediately until Christmas, with the opportunity to provide a remarkable Christmas for a new family each year. A felony / misdemeanor background check is required.
