This position is responsible for:

Assists the Corps Officer with administrative detail; performs advanced, complex, and often confidential administrative work with a broad scope of responsibilities; coordinates information for various of programs; responds to inquiries regarding departmental operations and ensures the office runs smoothly while the Corps Officers are absent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Composes, prepares and types a wide variety of paperwork, including that of a confidential, complex and or technical nature with limited supervision and direction, such as correspondence, and programs, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the same. Receives, stamps, and distributes office mail.
  • Assists the Corps Officers with coordinating various of programs, social services, human resources, and accounting duties; coordinates and prepares reports and record about the needs of the programs. Assists with various administrative work associated with special projects, processing correspondence with accuracy and completeness.
  • Types correspondence and/or minutes accurately and timely; acknowledges routine correspondence; attends meetings and records minutes as needed. Monitor Corps Officers' emails and voicemails, as requested, to ensure timely responses.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.

Ability to work with a high energy level.

Ability to be a team player, working collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, writes, and communicates in the English language.

Education/Experience:

BA/BS Degree and Volunteer management training or certification.

And

At least two years of supervisory experience

Or

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certifications:

CPR preferred.
