Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has been an active affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International for more than 30 years. By building and preserving affordable housing through new construction, renovations, and home repairs, Habitat LA is transforming communities throughout Los Angeles County. Through access to affordable loans, housing counseling, down-payment assistance, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities, the organization has strengthened families, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking for an individual who will assist with recruiting, scheduling, training, and stewarding those that wish to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles as individuals in our different volunteer programs. They will help support our elevated events through out the fiscal year as well.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Volunteer Recruitment: Handle volunteer inquiries via email/phone, update inquiry list, update email communications, and answer general questions related to volunteering.Volunteer Programs: Oversee our site host and special event program. As well as expanding our core ReStore volunteer program and supporting the supervisor with a volunteer recognition outline.Administrative: Enter volunteer hours into VolunteerHUB and NXT for data tracking, update VolunteerHUB events calendar, and support in creating welcome packets for volunteer groups.Events: Help coordinate the annual volunteer appreciation event and assist with approximately 12 other elevated events throughout the fiscal year.
SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, background check, and driving record checkMust have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA Drivers License, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insuranceMust have a reliable internet connectionMinimum of 2 years of administrative support experience, preferably in a nonprofit or grant-funded environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with volunteer management systems (e.g., VolunteerHUB, NXT, or similar).Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesComfortable working with diverse groups of volunteers and community membersAbility to build and maintain positive relationships with volunteers, staff, and partnersFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities, including working occasional evenings and weekend work events

COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
Salary offers are based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, experience, and qualifications. Offers are between the entry to mid-level range.
