Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will develop and maintain vital volunteer initiatives, enhancing community engagement and program support.

Every day you will oversee and cultivate the Auxiliary Evening and Weekend, First Steps, and Junior Volunteer Programs. You will also lead the development and execution of Volunteer Community Outreach Programs.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong organizational and program development skills, with a proven ability to engage, motivate, and manage diverse volunteer groups. Excellent communication and a passion for community service are essential.

Job Requirements

College degree preferred and/or equivalent experience will be considered

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in coordinating volunteers and associated schedules, records, activities and events, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications Strong organizational skills with positive demeanor and attitude Self-starter with high energy level Possess excellent people skills, including an ability to develop individual and collaborative relationships providing excellent customer service Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in an active office environment Possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) The ability to handle rapidly changing and challenging responsibilities
