JOB TITLE: Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at Junior Achievement

PAY RATE: $20.00/hour

REPORTS TO: Volunteer Manager

Shifts: Non-exempt temporary part-time, work-study hours per agreement during hours of operation M-FR 8-5

LOCATION(S): 1745 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55104

POSITION SUMMARY

This position supports the Volunteer Engagement department by helping manage the volunteers who support JA North educational experiences. This position, in coordination with the Volunteer Engagement Team, supports the pre, during and post onsite experience of volunteers, as well as volunteer stewardship and recruitment materials, Volunteer Hub data entry, communication and surveys. In addition, this position will provide support to staff for building and maintaining volunteer engagement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support welcoming and check in process for onsite volunteer experiences.
  • Support front desk, welcoming and signing in visitors, answering phones, and accepting deliveries.
  • Support managing records and information relating to school and volunteer activities.
  • Ensure the volunteer experience is positive.
  • Data entry and admin duties as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, work ethic and a flexible and non-judgmental approach toward diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and ability to act effectively and think creatively.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in word processing, database management and spreadsheet applications.
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, email and mail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiatives when the need arises.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive organizational culture.
