As a Volunteer Experience Specialist, you’ll play a key role in recruiting, training, and retaining the incredible volunteer trainers who deliver Girl Scouts programming across San Diego. Partnering with the Volunteer Experience Manager, you’ll ensure a seamless, high-quality journey for volunteers—from onboarding and screening to ongoing engagement.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain engaging training frameworks aligned with local and national standards
- Coordinate trainer schedules, course logistics, communications, and resources
- Administer volunteer screening processes (background checks, fingerprinting, status tracking)
- Manage training calendars, registration systems, LMS platforms, and CRM updates
- Analyze engagement data to enhance programs and processes
- Partner with Marketing to promote course offerings
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for trainers and participants
- Support conferences, events, and outdoor skills programs

Required Experience:
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, adult education, training & development, or related field
- 2+ years of experience developing, coordinating, or facilitating training programs
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional best practices
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Office, LMS, CRM, or project management systems
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed and occasional travel
- Belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting and will support the Girl Scout Promise
The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00, DOE
