Job Posting

The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters. This is a rewarding opportunity to serve your community by responding to fires, rescues, medical emergencies, and other incidents while participating in regular training and maintaining firefighting equipment.

Volunteer firefighters receive $15 per emergency call (paid annually) and earn an $8,000 pension credit for each year of service. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid drivers license, and reside within a 10-minute drive of the New Ulm Fire Station. Required firefighter training and certifications must be completed after hire. Interviews will be conducted in September 2026. Job description and benefits available online.
