Volunteer Recruiter/Trainer (CASA Program)\n \nStarting Salary Range: $23.7738 - $26.1532 per hour\n \nBasic schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am \u2013 4:30 pm; requires some work outside of regular schedule\n \nMake a Difference\n \nMcLean County is seeking a passionate and driven Volunteer Recruiter/Trainer to support the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program. In this role, you will recruit, train, and support volunteers who advocate for children experiencing abuse and neglect within the juvenile court system.\n \nThis grant funded position plays a critical role in strengthening the CASA program by building a dedicated volunteer base and ensuring they are well-prepared to serve some of the community's most vulnerable children.\n \nWhat You'll Do\n\n Lead recruitment efforts to attract qualified CASA volunteers across McLean, Ford, and Logan Counties \n Build relationships with community organizations, service groups, and businesses to expand volunteer pipelines \n Represent the CASA program through outreach events, presentations, and social media engagement \n Facilitate and coordinate volunteer training in alignment with National CASA standards \n Maintain and update training curriculum and materials \n Support volunteer retention through ongoing engagement and development opportunities \n Supervise and support CASA volunteers in their advocacy work \n Assist volunteers with case-related responsibilities as needed \n Attend court hearings and meetings alongside volunteers \n Collaborate with the Program Director on strategic planning, outreach, and program development \n Maintain accurate records, data, and reports for court and grant requirements \n Respond to volunteer inquiries and conduct screening and interviews of candidates \n \nWhat We're Looking For\n \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\n Ability to effectively communicate with others from diverse backgrounds and experiences in efforts to recruit and train potential CASA volunteers.\n Ability to effectively communicate with, supervise, and empower volunteers to perform their roles successfully.\n Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics within families in crises relating to child abuse and neglect.\n Ability to work independently as well as with a team. \n Maintain strict standards of confidentiality.\n Proficient in Office 365 products.\n \nRequired Qualifications\n\n Bachelor's degree and/or experience in child welfare.\n Experience working with children/families and/or volunteer management.\n Willingness to travel outside of McLean County.\n Must be able to pass the DCFS background check.\n Must be available to be work outside of regular work hours.\n \nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\n \nThis position is primarily sedentary, involving standard office work with occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds). Duties require strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
