Guardian Partners is a growing, statewide nonprofit dedicated to protecting adults living with cognitive impairments and developmental disabilities. In partnership with county courts, we recruit, train, and support volunteers who conduct short term independent reviews of adult guardianship cases. Our work helps promote safety, self-determination, dignity, and accountability within Oregon's guardianship system.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and relationship-focused Volunteer Supervisor & Recruiter to recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteer case monitors while maintaining an independent caseload of guardianship reviews. This position will lead volunteer recruitment and engagement in Marion, Benton, Lincoln, Washington and Yamhill counties (additional counites to be added with growth) while collaborating with other Volunteer Supervisors to support volunteers across Oregon. Preference is for candidates who reside within the region served by this position.

This full-time hybrid position combines volunteer leadership, in-person community outreach, guardianship case review, court reporting, and collaboration with community partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong professional judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance empathy and advocacy with objectivity, confidentiality, and appropriate professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Supervision and Case Review Support: Provide ongoing guidance, training, mentorship, and performance feedback to volunteers. Support volunteers through interviews, investigation, documentation, and preparation of reports for Oregon courts.

Direct Case Work: Maintain a manageable independent caseload of adult guardianship reviews. Conduct interviews, meet in-person with adults under guardianship, interview family guardians and other professionals, review records and prepare objective reports for Oregon courts that identify relevant facts, observations, concerns, and areas where court intervention may be appropriate.

Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach: Lead volunteer recruitment from a variety of sources, online portals, and in-person engagement efforts across Oregon. Conduct outreach to build community awareness and partnerships; attend relevant community events, recruitment and networking opportunities.

Administrative duties: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive personal, medical, financial, and court-related information appropriately. Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures. Ensure all activities align with Guardian Partners' mission and standards for volunteer engagement and client advocacy.

Travel Requirements: This position combines remote work with regular in-person case reviews, volunteer meetings, community outreach, and organizational gatherings. Planned quarterly travel is required within counties served. Quarterly travel to Multnomah County is required to support organizational meetings and fundraising events. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate occasional evening or weekend commitments.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Residence in or near Marion, Benton, Lincoln, Washington or Yamhill County, with the ability to regularly travel throughout the assigned region.
  • Strong professional judgment and ability to maintain objectivity, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries when working with vulnerable adults, volunteers, guardians, and court partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
  • Commitment to the mission of protecting and supporting adults under guardianship
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Zoom, and related technology
  • Experience in volunteer coordination or recruitment, nonprofit programs, social services, community engagement, legal advocacy, or a related field
  • Experience working with older adults, people with disabilities, or vulnerable populations
  • Familiarity with guardianship, disability services, social services, healthcare, legal systems, or community resources
  • Experience writing professional reports or case documentation

Salary & Benefits: $55,000-$60,000 depending on experience. Bilingual candidates proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish will receive a 10% salary differential.
