About SLI Compliance
SLI Compliance is an independent testing and certification organization that provides compliance testing services to highly regulated industries. As an accredited Voting System Test Laboratory (VSTL), SLI Compliance evaluates voting systems against federal, state, and local requirements to support election integrity and certification efforts. SLI Compliance also provides Health IT testing and certification services through nationally recognized accreditation programs.
Position Summary
The Voting System/Hardware Test Engineer supports the testing and certification of voting technology systems, including hardware, software, firmware, and related documentation. This role conducts structured tests, documents results, identifies discrepancies, and helps assess compliance with applicable regulatory and certification requirements.
This position also provides administrative and project oversight for hardware-related testing activities within the Voting System Test Laboratory (VSTL). Responsibilities include scheduling tests, coordinating with subcontractor laboratories, managing hardware analysis and functional testing, and developing hardware testing methodologies.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and an interest in compliance, quality assurance, regulated technologies, and election systems.
What Youll Be Doing
As a Test Engineer, you will act as an independent evaluator of voting technology rather than a product developer. You will verify that voting systems operate as intended and comply with applicable certification requirements. This includes analyzing requirements, developing and executing test cases, evaluating hardware and software behavior, documenting findings, and supporting certification decisions.

Experience creating test cases, test procedures, or technical reports.

Location: On-site in our Wheat Ridge, CO Office
Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Salary: $78,000 OR $85,360 annually depending on the skill level.
