Summary

The Americas Markets Middle Office (AMMO) supports a range of Fixed Income and Equities financing products, with this role dedicated to the expanding Residential Mortgage Finance (RMF) business. This position is accountable for overseeing Warehouse Finance operational processes while driving continuous improvements across systems, controls, and client service delivery.

The successful candidate will leverage strong knowledge of Residential Mortgage Finance, warehouse lending, and capital markets operations to support the continued growth of Mizuho's RMF platform. This role will focus on optimizing operational workflows, enhancing scalability, strengthening the control framework, and partnering with key stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective business solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse lending operations, including fundings, paydowns, collateral onboarding, collateral releases, and facility maintenance.

  • Review and validate borrowing base calculations, margin requirements, collateral eligibility, and facility utilization to ensure compliance with facility terms and internal procedures.

  • Coordinate client funding requests, loan sales, payoffs, and other transaction-related activities, ensuring accurate and timely execution.

  • Monitor reconciliations and exception management to ensure client activity, custodian records, and general ledger balances remain accurate and synchronized.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, custodians, servicers, and internal stakeholders, resolving operational issues and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Direct new client onboarding and warehouse facility setup, including account configuration, documentation review, testing, and implementation activities.

  • Partner with Technology, Credit, Operations, and Business stakeholders to advance the RMF operating model, strengthen platform controls, and support the long-term evolution of systems, data flows, and governance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Residential Mortgage Finance, warehouse lending, with strong product knowledge and expertise in borrowing base calculations.

  • Demonstrated understanding of MRA/PSL agreements and hands-on experience setting up, testing, and maintaining warehouse lending facilities, with exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to identify discrepancies, validate complex calculations, and ensure accuracy across legal documentation and system configurations.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of collateral, funding, and financial data.

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple workstreams while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution in a highly controlled and deadline-driven environment.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting; familiarity with SQL and ProMerit preferred.

The Successful Profile

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, client-focused middle office professional with strong mortgage finance expertise, a control-minded approach, and the ability to translate operational complexity into scalable, well-governed processes.

The expected base salary ranges from $85,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
