NFP is looking for an individual to join our Transaction Liability team. This person is responsible for broking new representations and warranties and tax liability insurance, handling all aspects of the placements from initial client intake and market selection through policy delivery to client. The VP, Broker typically focuses on the largest and most complex placements, while serving in a leadership capacity to mentor and develop staff while cultivating strong insurer and insurer-client-broker relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Execution Leadership: Partner with clients and deal counsel through the full lifecycle of R&W insurance and tax liability placements, from initial client intake to transaction signing/closing
• Client & Carrier Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate/private equity clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to ensure trust and confidence
• Analytical Support: Prepare detailed analyses for client and carrier meetings, as well as internal reviews, to support underwriting and placement decisions
• Project Support: Contribute to long-term initiatives and critical projects within the Transaction Liability team
• Collaboration & Independence: Work collaboratively as part of a team while also operating independently with minimal direction

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong presentation, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a remote environment (with travel about once every month or two)

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Juris Doctorate degree is preferred
• M&A experience preferred, with special consideration for prior broking or underwriting of R&W and/or tax liability policies

The base salary range for this position is $250,000 – $275,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
