VP, Clinical Chief Quality Officer

Job Description:

Oversight of staff, budget, and quality issues. This person oversees the integration of the care delivery system at the site so that patient care needs are met within financial constraints and in compliance with DOH, DNV, and other regulatory agencies.

Plans, coordinates, directs, and integrates quality and patient safety system-wide collaboration with the executive team to ensure continuous quality of care, patient satisfaction, and compliance with various accrediting organizations and regulatory bodies; interprets and implements system quality assurance and safety standards to ensure quality care to patients; oversees the audit of work activities of system staff to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards; maintains ongoing tracking reports of findings; assists in integrating resources within the areas of administrative responsibility. The expanded role includes the oversight of the Infection Control program.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications

• BS - Bachelor of Science from an approved School of Nursing required. MS - Masters of Science in nursing health administration or other related field required. DNP - Doctor of Nurse Practitioner preferred. 8 years of experience in Healthcare Leadership institution three of which must be in the quality and patient safety arena, and include measurable improvements required. 
• 8 years of progressive experience in patient care delivery is required. 5 years of Progressive management experience in healthcare including budget/financial systems, quality improvement, and knowledge of regulatory and accrediting agency standards are required. Advanced interpersonal communication skills to assure a collaborative positive culture of quality and safety are required. 
• Additional skills necessary for success in the position include strong technical skills, patient/customer service, change management, delegation, quality management, visionary leadership, adaptability, innovation, quality, motivation, and judgment. Cert Prof Health Qual (CPHQ) within 2 years of hire required.
• Weekend/ Holiday Requirement: No Weekends or Holidays Required

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
