Title: VP Corporate Banking Relationship Manager, TMT & Consumer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Vice President-level Relationship Manager opportunity sits within the Corporate Banking team of a well-established financial institution, focused on originating and managing corporate client relationships across the Technology, Media, Telecom, and Consumer sectors. The role carries full ownership across the client lifecycle from business development and credit underwriting through transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, and first-line risk management making it an ideal fit for a seasoned corporate banker with a strong origination track record, deep TMT and/or Consumer sector expertise, and a proactive, accountability-driven approach to risk management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Solicit and develop relationships with targeted corporate clients across TMT and Consumer sectors;identify business opportunities, evaluate transactions, and negotiate deal terms with banking partners and prospective clients
  • Lead initial due diligence and KYC analysis on prospective clients;prepare credit ratings, credit line applications, and credit analysis reports;present proposed transactions to the Credit Committee and executive management
  • Manage the full credit approval and closing process including facility information sheets, closing checklists, funding coordination with Treasury, and document management in accordance with Credit Manual requirements
  • Act as first line of defense risk owner owning and managing risk across products and risk categories with full accountability for identifying, escalating, and managing risks in accordance with internal policies and controls
  • Perform ongoing portfolio monitoring including covenant tracking, loan classification, post-disbursement reviews, and emerging risk assessments;escalate key credit developments and non-performing facilities proactively
  • Conduct timely and in-depth regular and ad-hoc KYC reviews;perform quarterly FFIEC 002 report attestations as required
  • Maintain up-to-date client communication logs;develop relationship plans to achieve strong overall economic returns on each client;identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across bank product lines
  • Follow and implement branch remediation plans;cooperate with other departments on remediation work and provide progress feedback as needed
  • Assist team leadership with sector research, team reporting, and ad-hoc tasks;provide training and coaching to junior team members
  • Ensure full compliance with branch code of conduct, corporate compliance policies, and all regulatory reporting requirements
