Title: VP Counterparty Credit Risk Infrastructure & Strategy

Office Status: Hybrid New York, NY

Base Salary: $138k $185k + Bonus

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Vice President opportunity sits within the Counterparty Credit Risk function of a leading global financial institution, offering a strategic and high-visibility mandate focused on expanding and integrating the firm's CCR framework across policies, systems, and governance processes. The role combines policy development and regulatory engagement with cross-functional initiative leadership spanning new product enablement, audit coordination, CCAR governance, and AI-driven process enhancement. It's an ideal fit for a seasoned CCR professional who brings a holistic understanding of counterparty credit risk, strong stakeholder management instincts, and the ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear, structured communications for senior management and regulators.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance and align the firm's CCR framework across regions, ensuring consistency in limit setting, collateral standards, escalation processes, and governance in line with regulatory expectations including SR11-10 and BCBS guidance
  • Own end-to-end enablement of new product and business initiatives, driving timely execution through the design and implementation of robust CCR control frameworks, governance processes, system enhancements, and detailed technical requirements
  • Lead the development and enhancement of CCR policies, standards, and procedures;drive stakeholder socialization, training, and consistent interpretation across the organization
  • Serve as a central coordinator across CCR initiatives, ensuring alignment between policy, systems, governance, and risk appetite;drive cross-functional resolution of CCR issues across Analytics, Model Validation, IT, Front Office, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Compliance
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for senior management, regulatory examinations, and audits;ensure consistent and clear CCR narratives across all outputs and effectively communicate progress on issues and remediation efforts
  • Represent the CCR team in CCAR and broader stress testing governance activities, ensuring alignment with supervisory expectations
  • Assist in managing day-to-day counterparty limit monitoring by tracking risk metrics against approved limits, addressing limit breaches, and following up on remediation efforts with front-line teams across derivatives and cash trading desks
  • Identify and drive opportunities to incorporate data analytics and AI-driven solutions into CCR processes to enhance risk monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency
