ABOUT THE ROLE

This Vice President opportunity sits within the Asset Finance team of a well-established global financial institution with over twenty years of active presence in transportation finance, focused on originating and managing financing solutions for airlines, aircraft lessors, rail, and container companies across the Americas. The role is part of a global business line with teams in Europe and Asia, reporting directly to the Asset Finance Managing Director. It offers meaningful involvement across the full transaction lifecycle from credit preparation and financial modeling through client engagement, deal structuring, and ongoing portfolio monitoring making it an ideal fit for a transportation finance professional who combines strong credit fundamentals with solid internal process experience and a collaborative, detail-oriented working style.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare comprehensive credit applications including financial analysis, cash flow modeling, risk rating, industry and asset analysis, and structure analysis under the Managing Director's supervision
  • Coordinate with Credit and Operational departments throughout the credit approval process and transaction booking;become proficient in the bank's internal credit and compliance monitoring systems and procedures
  • Conduct credit reviews of existing transactions and process amendment requests;assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual portfolio reports
  • Gather and maintain industry market data and asset-related information to support deal evaluations;contribute to the ongoing accuracy and updating of client data in internal systems
  • Review borrower compliance reports and prepare ad-hoc portfolio client reports as needed
  • Support the Managing Director in sourcing and evaluating new transactions with existing and prospective clients;review and structure term sheets in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Collaborate across bank business lines to identify ancillary product opportunities for clients
  • Manage multiple mandates simultaneously, delegating effectively to junior resources and reviewing work product to ensure quality and timeliness
