Job Description:
The VP - Developer Platforms leads the developer platforms & API teams. The role owns the developer experience and delivery infrastructure that let CSI ship software and AI faster ("Supercharge Delivery"). Also, the role owns the API program, API management (APIM), and the commercial strategy that converts CSI's capabilities - across digital banking, commercial banking, and the broader product portfolio - into monetizable, partner-consumable products. Oversees platform identity: the authentication, authorization, and access infrastructure that every internal team and external integrator depends on.
Platform as a product
Own the platform strategy and roadmap spanning internal developer experience and the external API ecosystem.
Treat the platform as a product, not infrastructure - with named products, lifecycle management, SLAs, adoption metrics, and a backlog driven by internal and external developer needs.
Define the API product catalog across the portfolio, deciding what is exposed, to whom, and on what commercial terms.
Drive ARR through the developer ecosystem
Own the P&L for developer-facing and API-monetized solutions, including pricing, packaging, and metering, partnering with Finance and Sales to set and hit targets.
Build the partner and fintech ecosystem - onboarding, developer portal, documentation, and support - so external builders can compose CSI capabilities into their own products and CSI's community-bank and credit-union clients.
Position CSI competitively against competitors on openness, developer experience, and AI-native/agentic interfaces.
Supercharge internal delivery
Raise software delivery velocity across CSI engineering through golden paths, self-service infrastructure, and modern CI/CD - reducing lead time, deployment friction, and change-failure rate.
Operationalize AI-assisted development - including AI-generated code to production - with the guardrails, code-quality gates, and review patterns that make it safe at scale.
Identity, security & reliability
Own platform identity and access to bank-grade security, audit, and compliance standards, in close partnership with Information Security.
Guarantee platform reliability - availability, performance, and incident response - for the APIs and infrastructure that internal teams and external partners depend on.
Organization & leadership
Build, develop, and lead a high performing organization of delivery and operational leaders, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and readiness for new products and enhancements.
Partner cross functionally to align with company strategy, product evolution, and enterprise standards.
10+ years of experience in senior leadership of a developer platform, API platform, or integration/middleware organization at meaningful scale - ideally where the platform was run as a commercial product, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred. Demonstrated expertise in P&L or revenue ownership for platform, API, or developer-facing products, deep fluency in API design and management, identity/access, CI/CD, and modern platform engineering, track record raising engineering delivery velocity through developer-experience investment and experience operating to bank-grade security, compliance, and audit requirements (financial services, fintech, or comparably regulated). Preferred experience in building or scaling an external developer/partner ecosystem (developer portal, partner onboarding, ecosystem GTM), experience operationalizing AI-assisted software development with appropriate quality and security guardrails and familiarity with the community-bank and credit-union market and the competitive set for developer platforms.
