    The VP, Finance and Business Planning is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis across the organization. Serving as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, this role provides financial insights that drive operational performance, strategic decision-making, and sustainable growth. The VP of Financial Operations will lead the organization's budgeting and forecasting processes, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, support mergers and acquisitions, and continuously enhance financial processes, systems, and analytics to improve organizational performance.  

    Essential Functions:

    Financial Planning, Forecasting & Analysis

    • Lead the organization's annual budgeting, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes.
    • Develop and maintain financial models supporting strategic planning, cash flow forecasting, scenario analysis, and business growth initiatives.
    • Deliver actionable financial insights and variance analyses that support executive decision-making and performance improvement.
    • Partner with operational, clinical, and corporate leaders to evaluate financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and align resources with organizational priorities.
    • Monitor enterprise performance against key operating metrics, financial objectives, and industry benchmarks.

    Executive Reporting & Strategic Decision Support

    • Lead preparation and delivery of Board, private equity sponsor, executive leadership, lender, and other stakeholder reporting.
    • Develop financial presentations, analyses, and business cases that support strategic initiatives and organizational planning.
    • Ensure consistency, transparency, and accuracy across all financial reporting and performance communications.

    Revenue & Financial Performance Management

    • Partner with Revenue Cycle, Operations, and Accounting leadership to monitor revenue performance, profitability, cash flow, and key operating metrics.
      Oversee revenue-related financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support informed business decisions.
      Analyze financial performance trends and recommend actions that improve operational and financial outcomes.

    Strategic Business Partnership & Corporate Development

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization by translating complex financial information into actionable business insights.
    • Support acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives through financial due diligence, valuation analysis, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance monitoring.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and strategic initiatives to support long-term organizational growth.
    • Partner with Analytics and Information Technology teams to advance reporting capabilities, data integrity, and decision-support tools.

    Mergers & Acquisitions

    • Support acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives through financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and pro forma modeling.
    • Lead finance integration activities for acquired organizations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
    • Partner cross-functionally to establish scalable integration frameworks and support successful execution of growth initiatives.

    Leadership & Process Improvement

    • Build collaborative relationships across Finance, Operations, Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, and other corporate functions.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
    • Evaluate and enhance financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
    • Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools to meet the needs of a growing organization.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Lead, develop, and mentor members of the Finance team.
    • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development to direct reports.
    • Ensure organizational structure, resources, and capabilities appropriately support the Company's planning, reporting, and analytical needs.

    Skills:

    • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate financial performance into actionable business strategies.
    • Advanced expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
    • Executive-level communication and presentation skills with experience supporting senior leadership, Boards, lenders, and investors.
    • Strong understanding of healthcare financial operations, revenue cycle management, and key performance indicators.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence organizational decision-making.
    • Experience with enterprise financial systems, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
    • Collaborative leadership style with exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

    Experience and Education

    • Required Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related finance leadership roles.
      • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance management processes.
      • Demonstrated success leading finance professionals and partnering with cross-functional business leaders.
      • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and executive communication skills.
    • Preferred Qualifications
      • MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced credentials.
      • Healthcare, physician practice, private equity-backed, or multi-site services experience.
      • Experience supporting lender reporting, cash flow forecasting, mergers and acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration activities.
      • Experience presenting financial results and recommendations to executive leadership, Boards, or investors.

    The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
