Job Description Summary
The VP - General Ledger Management is responsible for providing leadership and management to the general ledger function for Wintrust Financial Corporation during daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and reporting activities. This responsibility includes following established internal financial controls and ensuring that there is consistency of financial data by analyzing and interpreting transactions that are recorded to the general ledger.
What You'll Do
Responsible for providing analytical skills for the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting, reporting activities and audits for Wintrust Financial Corporation.
Record and review general ledger activity, ensuring adherence to established policies and internal financial controls.
Responsible for overseeing integration results to the general ledger for accounting accuracy and lead automation of current manual processes.
Accountable for maintaining and overseeing the control of accounts and records in areas such as leasing, accruals and intercompany transactions.
Ensure adherence to proper internal controls and interface with key internal customers as part of daily responsibilities and project teams.
Qualifications
10+ Years of Financial Institutional Accounting and/or Finance experience
Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or Finance major preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with MS Office; advanced Excel, experience with Workday a plus

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000 -$132,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
