    The VP of Information Technology will be responsible for the management of the credit union's Information Systems Department to ensure development, enhancement, and delivery of quality and efficient systems and interfaces for internal users and members.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    • Manages, directs and supports Information Systems/Technology including, but not limited to, management of the Symitar Core system, network, hardware, software, patch/update administration, hardware/software for physical security (alarms, cameras, keypads, add/delete/modify system users), troubleshooting, user support and other system delivery channels with attention to process automation, compliance, and risk control. Responsible for Voice and Data Communications including, but not limited to: Voice, Fax, LAN/WAN, Internet, 3rd party vendors, ATMs, Wireless Mobile. Includes IT management and support for e-services and ATMs. Works with IT vendors as needed. Considers needs of internal/external users. Works with compliance and other management as needed to develop system improvements. Implements solutions to enhance utilization of programming, Symitar, PowerOn, SymForm, SymFormPDF, PowerFrame, Synergy Express, parameters, defaults, validations, settings, workflows, and other special projects to soundly increase efficiency.
    • Act as Information Security Officer. Ensures safety, risk control, and compliance related to information technology. Develops monitors, evaluates, and maintains the Information Security Program of the credit union. Works with IT security vendors as needed. Addresses security and controls including, but not limited to, Risk Assessments, 3rd party due diligence, incident responses, Part 748, FFEIC related guidance, e-banking, website compliance, COPPA, and other related regulations. Conducts or assists external auditors/examiners with related audits/exams of related areas, such as IT Audits, Penetration Testing, and Website. Develop, tests, and maintains written Disaster Preparedness & Response plan. Regularly review disaster preparedness/contingency plans of critical vendors and processes.
    • Management of electronic storage of reports and documents with proper records retention, security, disaster recovery/contingency, efficient processes to push items to storage, and ease of use for employees who need to verify, work, track, and/or research items stored electronically. Includes, but not limited to, Synergy Express or other Senior Management approved Optical Solution, E-Vaults, and Internal servers/drives.
    • Other duties as assigned by COO and/or CEO.

    Job Qualifications:

    Experience - Ten years to fifteen years of similar or related experience.

    Education -Professional certification; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

    Interpersonal Skills

    Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions. Role also requires the ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.

    Excellent analytical skills, people skills and self-direction.
    1. Thorough knowledge of hardware, software, networks, IT security.
    2. Previous financial institution experience
    3. Experience with Programming, Symitar, Power-On, SymForms, SymFormPDF, PowerFrame, Synergy Express, Microsoft, Adobe.
    4. Excellent resource management, project planning, and communication skills
    5. Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.

    Physical Requirements

    Remains in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time.
    Regularly operates office equipment, such as a computer, calculator, copy machine, and printer.
    Communicates information and ideas effectively, ensuring accurate exchange of information in all situations.
    Observes details at close range, typically within a few feet of the observer.
    Occasionally moves items weighing 10-15 pounds within the work location or as needed.

    Work Environment

    This position requires approximately 10% travel time. Travel will primarily be local, but may extend to any location where the organization operates. Some travel for training or conferences may involve overnight stays, depending on business needs. The work environment is a professional, office-based setting that promotes collaboration, open communication, and a positive atmosphere. Employees are encouraged to work both independently and as part of a team.
