About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Development Vice President. The Corporate Development team is responsible for acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic equity investments for Wells Fargo.  The ideal candidate has sharp analytical skills, demonstrated leadership experience across multiple complex transactions, sound critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, and ability to work in a cross matrixed environment.  We are looking for a self-motivated person who learns quickly, thrives in a challenging environment, and can serve as a trusted advisor to the senior most leaders of the organization.  


In this role, you will:

  • Support Wells Fargo's growth and efficiency efforts across all lines of business by leading acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and investments consistent with corporate strategy.
  • Lead the financial analysis and organization of deals and projects that support individual lines of businesses as well as companywide initiatives.
  • Review, analyze, prepare, and interpret complex financial statements and models and develop and lead the approval presentations.
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of Corporate Development, policies, procedures, compliance, and risk management requirements that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to complete diligence efforts and resolve deal issues to achieve goals.
  • Be an active participant in negotiations and facilitating legal agreements, through interaction with internal and external representatives.
  • Strategically lead and implement key risk initiatives, projects, and mentor less experienced teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Corporate Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of investment banking experience
  • Experience in financial institutions and financial technology industry sectors
  • Exceptional attention to detail and experience delivering presentations to executive leaders
  • Operates comfortably amid ambiguity and evolving strategic priorities
  • Experienced leading the strategy and negations of mergers and acquisitions
  • Strong stakeholder management and developing relationships with parters in a matrixed environment

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule from our 550 S. Tryon St. Charlotte, NC location.
