The Vice President, Market Operations is responsible for the full operational, financial, and strategic performance of a defined market or enterprise segment within the affiliated medical group. This role provides senior leadership across Growth and Practice Performance functions, ensuring coordinated MSO support that drives revenue growth, operational excellence, and a high-quality physician and Care Center experience.

 

The VP partners directly with executive leadership, clinical governance, and cross-functional teams to set strategy, execute market initiatives, and scale a consistent, high-performing operating model. Leading with a Patient-Clinician First mindset, this position plays a critical role in optimizing market performance, expanding women’s health service capabilities, and delivering sustainable, long-term growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end market performance, including financial outcomes, operational execution, service quality, and provider and patient satisfaction across the region or segment.
  • Lead and develop a multi-layered leadership team (Regional Directors, Growth Partners, and Practice Performance), driving accountability and alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Set and execute market-level strategy, integrating growth, operational performance, and service delivery to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion, including oversight of growth strategy, new site development, service line expansion, and M&A integration.
  • Ensure effective coordination of cross-functional MSO support (Revenue Cycle, IT, HR, Credentialing, Finance, Marketing, Compliance) to deliver seamless operations and meet performance targets.
  • Oversee financial performance and KPI management, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
    Partner with clinical leadership and governance bodies (e.g., Clinical Governance Board) to align on priorities, support decision-making, and execute key initiatives.
  • Lead enterprise and market-wide initiatives, including operating model enhancements, technology implementations, and process transformations.
    Establish and standardize best practices, workflows, and service models to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational excellence across markets.
  • Serve as an executive escalation point for critical issues, ensuring rapid resolution and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with physicians, Care Center leadership, and organizational stakeholders to support engagement and long-term success.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, finance, business, healthcare administration required
  • Master’s business administration preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in healthcare operations, MSO leadership, or multi-site physician practice management.
  • Proven track record of leading large, multi-market or regional operations with full accountability for performance outcomes.
  • Significant experience managing P&L, financial performance, and growth initiatives in a healthcare services environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading layered leadership teams and scaling operations in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience driving strategic initiatives, including growth strategy, operational transformation, and M&A integration.
  • Strong partnership experience with clinical leadership and physician governance structures.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a data-driven leadership approach.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
