Responsibilities:- Drive AI and digital initiatives across the portfolio by identifying, scoping, and executing high-impact use cases, such as AI-enabled scheduling and automated visual inspection.
- Build the data foundations necessary for effective AI implementation, enhancing data quality and real-time visibility in portfolio companies.
- Develop fund-level AI capabilities by creating internal tools, such as an AI-backed knowledge repository, to support diligence and maintain a competitive edge.
- Set and guide the AI strategy for the fund, aligning it with long-term operational and portfolio objectives.
- Evaluate and manage third-party technology partners, building implementation roadmaps to efficiently convert ideas into functioning systems.
- Operate within portfolio companies to gain trust, secure stakeholder buy-in, and ensure the adoption of initiatives.
Qualifications:- Experience in manufacturing or industrial operations with a deep understanding of on-the-floor processes.
- Hands-on experience with AI implementation in manufacturing or private equity settings, demonstrating a track record of building and deploying solutions.
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Proficient in AI tools and software, with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise LLM, CPQ systems, ERP/MES platforms, and more.
- Proven ability to influence executive management teams and drive initiatives without direct reporting authority.
- Demonstrable track record of execution, with experience in managing complex projects across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong commercial understanding, including P&L analytics and project value assessments.
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to Pittsburgh or New York, with significant travel required.
