Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Fundraising to lead our fundraising initiatives and strategies to support our faith-based nonprofit. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's growth and sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivating relationships with major donors, and managing a high-performing fundraising team. This is a full-time, permanent role that requires at least ten years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with our organization's mission and goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing fundraising team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track donor interactions and fundraising progress.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to align fundraising efforts with organizational needs and priorities.
  • Represent our organization at public events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness and generate support.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to fundraising and nonprofit management.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate fundraising strategies and initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising, preferably with faith-based organizations.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team and driving performance.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and other fundraising technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to fundraising and nonprofit management.
  • Passion for our mission and a commitment to faith.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
