VP of Operations (Data Center/ Structured Cabling)

Title: Vice President of Operations (Data Center / Structured Cabling)
Location: Northern Virginia (Primarily Work from Home)
Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead and scale field operations for a growing data center infrastructure organization. This role will oversee technician teams, field delivery, safety, quality, and operational strategy while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all field operations, including technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors
• Oversee daily scheduling, staffing, and workforce allocation
• Ensure high-quality project delivery through QA/QC inspections and performance oversight
• Manage operational budgets and improve efficiency across field activities
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals
• Establish and enforce safety programs, policies, and compliance standards
• Build internal training programs (including BICSI-focused initiatives)
• Partner with sales and leadership to support project execution and growth
• Manage tools, testing equipment, and operational systems (including time tracking software)

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in structured cabling / low voltage / data center operations
• Proven leadership experience within a structured cabling provider (REQUIRED)
• Experience managing large field teams and technicians
• Strong background in QA/QC, field delivery, and project execution
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and field safety program implementation
• Experience working with subcontractors and vendor management
• Strong operational and organizational leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• BICSI certification or experience working within BICSI standards
• Experience building training or workforce development programs
• Background in hyperscale or enterprise data center environments
• Experience implementing operational systems and process improvements
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
