VP of Operations

We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead multi-unit retail operations across multiple grocery banners, overseeing approximately 2,000+ employees and driving operational excellence across all locations.

Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead overall store operations, execution, and performance across multiple locations
• Own P&L results including sales, labor, shrink, and operating expenses
• Drive labor planning, productivity, and workforce optimization
• Ensure compliance with food safety, OSHA, wage & hour, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with HR to support employee relations, leadership development, and risk mitigation
• Oversee Loss Prevention, Security, Facilities, and Maintenance functions
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Supply Chain to improve inventory accuracy and product availability
• Support new store openings, remodels, and strategic growth initiatives
• Leverage data, KPIs, and operational insights to drive continuous improvement

Required skills and qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive retail operations leadership experience
• Proven success managing multi-unit, geographically dispersed teams
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in P&L management
• Experience with labor planning, inventory control, and shrink reduction
• Knowledge of California employment laws and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently between store locations

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is from $275K to $320K, depending on experience.
