You will build and lead the procurement and sourcing organization, driving growth, optimizing product assortments, and fostering strong partnerships with our brands and suppliers company-wide. Your expertise in category management, deep understanding of HVAC products, and collaborative spirit is instrumental in shaping the future of our HVAC platform and its supply chain.

Essential Job Functions
Functional Leadership

• Lead the procurement/sourcing function for the company, including all internal stakeholder and external vendor relationships.

Optimization

• Design, expand, and enhance the optimum sourcing and procurement organization, including centralization/regionalization of resources to drive synergies and speed of response.
• Develop KPIs and benchmarking assessments to track and drive procurement performance.

Sourcing

• Execute sourcing projects identified in business plans, delivering total cost value creation and supply assurance.
• Lead negotiations and contract development for key sourcing initiatives.

Procurement Operations

• Lead procure-to-pay processes and policies for the company, including systems and governance.

Supplier Relationship / Performance Management

• Identify, develop, and implement strategic relationships with key vendors.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Inventory Planning and Management

• Partner with the Operations team and brand leaders to ensure proper levels of inventory for overall cost optimization.

Fleet Management

• Develop process, procedures, and programs to implement across the platform for efficient fleet management.

Work Hours
This is an exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business.

Competencies
This position will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of procurement concepts, principles, and commodity management, alongside a proven track record in strategic sourcing. You will also need direct experience in developing and executing spend channel strategy. This position will exhibit a deep understanding of category management and showcase adept strategic decision-making skills, particularly in the business planning process. Furthermore, this position must exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills, fostering effective partnerships with brands to identify, create, and execute capabilities necessary to achieve both short-term and long-term goals. They should also demonstrate the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities across various time zones with ease. This position requires demonstrated leadership experience building, mentoring, and scaling procurement or sourcing teams. Strong negotiation and contract management skills are essential, along with sound judgment on legal and compliance risk. Executive-level communication skills are required, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner effectively with the leadership team.

Education and Experience
This position requires the following:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of sourcing and procurement experience, including managing sourcing/procurement and strategic vendor relationships; distributed field services experience preferred.
• Experience across both direct and indirect categories, with previous ownership of approximately $100M in spend annually.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, less-structured, and fast-paced environment.
• Change agent with the ability to solve a wide range of challenges, resolve business issues, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Proven track record of successfully working with both C-suite and field operations professionals; builds trusting and effective relationships with leaders across the enterprise.
• Nimble, with the ability to pivot as the company's priorities shift.
• Demonstrated experience transforming operations from a less structured controls culture to a more standardized workflow environment.

A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or supply chain management from a four-year college or university is required; an MBA is a plus. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred. Fluency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, along with experience using enterprise procurement or ERP systems.

Work Environment
Hybrid, onsite in Addison HQ 3 days a week required.
