Vice President, Procurement


Position Summary
The Vice President of Procurement is responsible for leading the organization's procurement strategy across direct and indirect spend, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and operational excellence. This executive will partner with senior leadership to transform procurement into a strategic business function while developing scalable processes to support continued domestic and global growth.

This role offers the opportunity to build a high-performing procurement organization, standardize sourcing practices, and establish a foundation for future global procurement leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement
Develop and execute enterprise procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Drive supplier optimization, contract negotiations, and cost savings initiatives across all spend categories.
Build standardized procurement processes, category strategies, and governance frameworks.
Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, mitigate risk, and increase operational efficiency.
Supplier & Contract Management
Lead complex commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers.
Manage contract lifecycle, supplier performance, and compliance with corporate policies.
Implement sourcing strategies that deliver measurable financial value and long-term partnerships.
Leadership & Business Partnership
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing procurement team.
Partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, HR, and executive leadership to support business initiatives.
Establish KPIs focused on savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and procurement effectiveness.
Governance & Risk
Ensure procurement activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Strengthen supplier risk management, procurement governance, and contract management processes.
Support procurement technology initiatives and continuous process improvement.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive procurement leadership experience, preferably within a large, complex organization.
Proven success leading strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement transformation initiatives.
Strong financial, analytical, and contract negotiation skills.
Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred
MBA, CPSM, MCIPS, or other relevant professional certification.
Experience supporting global procurement organizations.
Experience implementing procurement technology, sourcing platforms, or ERP systems.
Public company experience is a plus.
