About Augintel: We exist to give child welfare leadership and staff a deeper understanding of the people they care for. By building SaaS software applications that apply cutting-edge artificial intelligence and natural language processing techniques, we help clinicians in social services, behavioral health and child welfare – government, private and nonprofit – unlock the value of their unstructured data to improve their understanding, save them time, and help them deliver better outcomes to the people and communities they serve.

Location: Remote (US). Ability to support customers across multiple time zones is required.

Reports To: CEO

Job Summary:

Over the last six years Augintel has built a new category in Child Welfare and has transformed how caseworkers and supervisors do their jobs. We've been first to market with an industry-defining product, enjoy exceptional customer retention, and continue to win new business. As we enter our next stage of growth, we need to strengthen both our strategic vision as well as our day-to-day execution.

The Chief Product Officer will be the executive responsible for aligning Augintel's strategy and product direction and associated operating cadence and cross-functional execution.

This leader will help Augintel maintain the speed and customer intimacy of a founder-led company while building the clarity, accountability, prioritization discipline, and operating infrastructure required for sustainable growth.

At the product level, this leader will own the translation of Augintel's vision into a cohesive 12–36 month product strategy and roadmap. They will ensure that new products and features do not simply ship, but land in the market with clear positioning, customer value, adoption plans, enablement, and measurable revenue impact.

At the operating level, this leader will build the company-wide rhythms that connect annual strategy to quarterly execution, commitments to operating plans, and customer commitments to product, engineering, and commercial capacity.

The right person is both strategic and hands-on. They can articulate a compelling multi-year product vision, but they also care deeply about roadmap discipline, prioritization, launch quality, customer feedback loops, commercial enablement, financial outcomes, and execution predictability.

The ideal candidate thrives in founder-led organizations transitioning from early-stage success to operational maturity. They excel at balancing customer commitments with long-term strategic investments and are energized by solving complex scaling challenges.

This is a role for a builder, operator, product strategist, and trusted CEO partner. This role is part of the executive team and reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Operating Rhythm & Execution

  • Translate annual strategic product objectives into measurable quarterly execution
  • Lead company-wide planning processes, including annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and operating reviews
  • Establish and maintain a consistent cadence of product and go-to-market execution and accountability across the organization
  • Monitor progress against company objectives and proactively identify execution risks

Product Strategy & Roadmap Leadership

  • Own Augintel's product strategy in partnership with the CEO, Engineering, Revenue, Marketing and Customer Impact
  • Translate CEO vision and market insight into a cohesive 12–36 month product roadmap
  • Balance near-term customer commitments with long-term strategic product investments
  • Ensure roadmap decisions are grounded in customer value, commercial potential, technical feasibility, strategic importance, and time-to-market
  • Establish clear prioritization frameworks that guide what Augintel starts, stops, accelerates, or deprioritizes
  • Elevate product discovery, customer understanding, design discipline, experimentation, and product decision-making across the company
  • Represent Product at the executive and board level with clarity, structure, and strategic insight

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Facilitate product alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and resource allocation
  • Drive resolution of cross-functional issues that impede execution
  • Foster a culture of transparency, constructive debate, and shared ownership

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Partner with executive leadership to balance customer commitments, innovation initiatives, and operational investments
  • Establish frameworks for prioritization and governance
  • Ensure product investment decisions align with strategic objectives, customer value, and financial outcomes
  • Drive disciplined decision-making around what the organization starts, stops, accelerates, or deprioritizes

Growth & Commercial Excellence

  • Partner with Revenue, Marketing and Customer Success leaders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial engine
  • Partner with Customer Success Team to identify opportunities to accelerate time-to-value, improve expansion outcomes, and increase customer retention
  • Partner with Customer Success, Revenue and Marketing to ensure customer insights, adoption trends, and implementation learnings inform company strategy, product priorities, and operational improvements
  • Support enterprise deal strategy where cross-functional leadership is required

Organizational Scale & Effectiveness

  • Design and evolve product operating mechanisms appropriate for the company's stage of growth
  • Clarify product and roadmap related decision rights, ownership models, and escalation paths
  • Develop scalable product management processes that increase organizational effectiveness without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy

Metrics & Performance Management

  • Define and monitor the critical metrics that drive performance
  • Use data to identify emerging risks and opportunities
  • Ensure the organization focuses on outcomes rather than activity

CEO Partnership

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the CEO
  • Drive follow-through on strategic product initiatives and board commitments
  • Prepare materials and insights related to product, roadmap and the market for executive and board discussions
