Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the VP of Revenue Cycle. This critical role in our healthcare organization is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) function. The VP of Revenue Cycle will be tasked with the design, implementation, and management of systems for the collection, analysis, verification, and reporting of financial matters. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing and optimizing the revenue cycle processes and will be adept at driving improvements in revenue integrity and reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, including patient registration, insurance verification, billing, collections, and denials management.
2. Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle operations, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
3. Provide leadership and direction to the revenue cycle team, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and customer service.
4. Manage relationships with RCM vendors, ensuring that service level agreements are met and that vendors are delivering high-quality services.
5. Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in the revenue cycle process.
6. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
7. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues that impact the revenue cycle, such as denials and claims processing.
8. Lead the implementation of new systems or technologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including experience with outsourced billing, multi-site operations, denials and claims management, and vendor management.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and revenue integrity principles.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
6. Proficient in using revenue cycle management software and other financial management tools.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
8. In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements related to revenue cycle management.
9. Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE) certification is a plus.
