Job Details

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and service-minded Vice President of Scheduling Operations. You will lead scheduling performance across the organization, with accountability for monthly rendered service-hour targets, utilization of authorized therapy hours, schedule stability, and the experience of families, clinicians, and employees.

You will use operational data to identify barriers, guide decisions, and build scheduling practices that support growth and reliable service delivery.

What You’ll Do
Develop scheduling strategies that align client demand, clinician capacity, authorized hours, and growth plans.
Lead performance against monthly rendered hours targets and authorization utilization goals.
Analyze trends, identify the causes of missed targets, and implement corrective actions.
Resolve scheduling barriers involving staffing, availability, geography, cancellations, case openings, and schedule changes.
Build workflows, escalation paths, and service standards that reduce delays, unstaffed hours, and preventable service disruptions.
Set expectations for timely, accurate, empathetic communication with families, clinicians, and employees.
Partner with clinical leaders and other departments to improve client starts, capacity, and continuity of care.
Use forecasting, dashboards, scheduling systems, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve decisions and efficiency.
Lead and develop scheduling managers and their teams, with clear goals, coaching, and accountability.

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required; a related master’s degree is preferred.
At least five years of progressive leadership experience in scheduling, workforce planning, healthcare operations, or a related field.
Experience leading managers and teams with multiple levels of responsibility.
A record of improving utilization, capacity, service levels, or other operational measures through analysis and process improvement.
Strong forecasting, problem-solving, communication, and change-management skills.
Experience with scheduling systems, dashboards, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce, automation, or AI-enabled solutions is valuable.
Ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, and executive leaders.
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, pediatric care, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is strongly preferred.

You’ll help the organization increase rendered service hours and use more of its authorized therapy hours. Families and clinicians will experience clearer communication and more reliable schedules. Scheduling leaders will have the data, processes, and accountability needed to resolve barriers quickly and support continued growth.
