Morton is seeking a Vice President of Technology to lead enterprise technology strategy, product engineering, and AI-driven innovation across the organization. This executive leader will oversee the end-to-end product and engineering function, including architecture, development, and delivery of modern software platforms that support both internal operations and client-facing solutions.

The VP of Technology will work closely with executive leadership to modernize legacy systems, implement scalable cloud-based platforms, and drive the adoption of AI-enabled workflows that improve operational efficiency and product delivery.

This role requires a strategic technology leader who can balance vision with execution, build high-performing teams, and accelerate delivery through strong engineering practices and modern development tools.

Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the company’s technology strategy and multi-year product roadmap.

  • Lead architecture, platform selection, and development standards across the organization.

  • Identify and modernize legacy systems while reducing technical debt and operational risk.

  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to executive leadership.
AI & Technology Transformation

  • Lead the integration of AI capabilities into internal workflows and software products.

  • Implement frameworks for identifying and scaling high-value AI use cases across the organization.

  • Deploy AI-assisted development tools and internal AI agents to improve productivity and automation.

  • Establish governance practices for responsible and secure AI adoption.
Product Engineering & Delivery

  • Oversee the development and delivery of enterprise software products.

  • Establish engineering standards across architecture, coding practices, testing, and release management.

  • Improve delivery predictability, engineering throughput, and product iteration cycles.

  • Maintain strong collaboration between engineering, product, and business teams.
Data Platforms & Integrations

  • Lead data architecture, system integrations, and analytics platforms supporting operational and client-facing capabilities.

  • Ensure reliable data pipelines and governance practices that support scalable applications and AI initiatives.
Team & Vendor Leadership

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams across engineering, architecture, DevOps, and product management.

  • Manage external development partners and vendor relationships.

  • Oversee technology budgets, resource planning, and team capacity.

Development Stack:
Frontend – TypeScript, Vue.js

AI Frameworks: LangChain

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology leadership experience delivering complex software systems.

  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing engineering organizations.

  • Strong understanding of AI capabilities and experience integrating AI into business workflows or software platforms.

  • Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and DevOps practices including CI/CD and observability.

  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and implementing scalable technology platforms.

  • Background managing external development partners and distributed engineering teams.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
