Title: VP of Technology
Location: Baton Rouge, LA / Natchez, MS
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Compensation: $150k - $180k

Work Environment & TravelThis position is based in Houston and requires regular travel to company operations in
Baton Rouge, LA and Natchez, MS, up to 50% of the time. Additional travel may be required based on business needs.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a strategic, business-focused
Vice President of Technology to lead the organization's technology strategy, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and digital transformation initiatives. This executive will partner closely with leadership to ensure technology investments support operational efficiency, scalability, security, and continued company growth.
A major initial priority will be leading the organization's NetSuite implementation and migration. Direct NetSuite implementation or migration experience is highly desired. Candidates without NetSuite experience should have significant experience successfully leading the implementation or migration of a comparable enterprise ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a multi-year technology strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead the upcoming NetSuite implementation and migration, including planning, requirements, integrations, data migration, implementation partners, testing, deployment, and adoption.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and executive leadership to ensure the ERP supports business requirements and improves processes across the organization.
- Oversee enterprise applications including ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial systems, business intelligence, and operational platforms.
- Lead infrastructure, cloud, networking, telecommunications, endpoint management, and cybersecurity functions.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology risk management programs.
- Lead enterprise system implementations, integrations, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Establish data governance and improve reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for automation, AI, workflow improvement, and process standardization.
- Develop and manage technology budgets, capital investments, project portfolios, and technology roadmaps.
- Manage technology vendors, ERP implementation partners, managed service providers, consultants, and software providers.
- Establish technology KPIs, service levels, system availability standards, and project milestones.
- Ensure technology platforms can support acquisitions, geographic expansion, and integration of new business operations.
- Recruit, develop, and lead internal technology staff and external partners.
Qualifications- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience leading a major ERP implementation, migration, or transformation.
- NetSuite implementation or migration experience is highly desired. Comparable experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, JD Edwards, Infor, or another enterprise ERP will also be considered.
- Experience leading enterprise technology strategy within a multi-site or multi-state organization.
- Strong experience across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, networking, data, and systems integration.
- Experience managing ERP, CRM, financial systems, operational applications, and business intelligence platforms.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale technology implementations and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, implementation partners, project portfolios, and internal technology teams.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology investments to operational and financial outcomes.
- Strong executive communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Baton Rouge and Natchez up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications- Direct experience leading a NetSuite implementation, migration, or enterprise rollout.
- Experience within energy, fuel distribution, logistics, transportation, industrial services, manufacturing, or another asset-intensive industry.
- Experience supporting multi-state operations, acquisitions, new locations, or rapid organizational growth.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, GCP, Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint, Salesforce, and related enterprise technologies.
- Experience implementing AI, automation, workflow management, or advanced analytics solutions.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL, Azure, GCP, or related credentials.
