Summary:
Collaboratively leads operational initiatives system-wide to successfully navigate patient's across MetroHealth System (MHS). Oversees the development and implementation of patient navigation strategies across The MetroHealth System to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care and support throughout their healthcare journey. The VP of Patient Navigation will build strong internal and external customer loyalty by setting customer service expectations that lead to an enhanced patient experience. Partners with Chief Nursing Officer and Capacity Command Center Medical Director to ensure optimization of patient care and flow are achieved decreasing overall length of stay. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer services standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or health-related field, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
Seven years of progressive management experience, including experience with patient throughput, triage, and/or case management.
Ability to plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate activities and projects.
Strong analytic and solution-driven decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated leadership, communication, mentoring, customer service, and excellent interpersonal skills required along with experience in conflict management and working with multi-disciplinary groups.
Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
Preferred:
Master's degree: Nursing, Healthcare, Business, or related field.
Graduate from an approved program of nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
Experience with Epic.
Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift-up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents
